Supagas ready to support regional Victorians as Solstice exits standalone gas networks

October 10, 2025

Supagas says it stands ready to help households and businesses in 10 regional Victorian towns maintain reliable gas supply as Solstice Energy winds down its standalone compressed natural gas (CNG) networks by late 2026, affecting more than 1,100 customers across Robinvale, Swan Hill, Kerang, Nathalia, Marong, Maldon, Heathcote, Terang, Lakes Entrance and Orbost.

“As soon as the news surfaced, our priority was clear: keep hot water, cooking and business operations running without disruption,” said Erol Arican, Managing Director, Supagas. “Our local teams are ready to help Solstice customers move to dependable LPG with practical guidance, transparent pricing and delivery they can count on. It’s our ‘Yes We Can’ philosophy in action.”

Supagas is making its residential introductory offer – 50% off the first 45kg LPG cylinder delivery for eligible new customers – available to affected households. The company will also assist with onboarding, schedule reliable deliveries aligned to local runs, and provide safety advice and referrals to licensed gas fitters where appliance conversion is required. For businesses, Supagas can tailor supply, including 45kg cylinders and bulk solutions.

“We understand this change can feel daunting, especially with cost-of-living pressures,” Mr Arican said. “Customers value solutions, not surprises. We pair a sharp introductory offer with hands-on support so families and operators can switch quickly and safely – and then get on with their lives. Our role is to make the transition simple, reliable and good value.”

Supagas noted that LPG – which is not included in the government natural gases ban – is a proven, readily available option in regional areas without mains gas. In many cases, existing appliances can be converted to LPG by a licensed gas fitter; where replacement is the better route, Supagas can connect customers with independent fitters to quote and complete the work. The company will work with customers alongside any assistance provided by Solstice or relevant Victorian Government schemes to help minimise out-of-pocket costs.

“This isn’t a one-off response – we’re committed for the long haul,” Mr Arican added. “Supagas has been recognised five years running in Canstar Blue’s LPG customer satisfaction awards, which reflects what matters most here: reliability, responsive service and fair value. We go where our customers are, and we’ll be there through the transition and beyond.”

How to get help / switch

Residents and businesses in the affected towns can register their interest, confirm eligibility for the 50% off first 45kg delivery, and arrange a call-back from a local Supagas representative to discuss installation, appliance conversion and delivery scheduling.

Affected towns: Robinvale, Swan Hill, Kerang, Nathalia, Marong, Maldon, Heathcote, Terang, Lakes Entrance, Orbost.
