Supagas Completes Acquisition of Heeson Medical

Acquisition strengthens Supagas' medical gas and homecare presence in Queensland

Supagas Pty Ltd today confirmed the completion of its acquisition of Heeson Medical, an established Queensland medical gas and homecare business, effective 1 October 2026.

Operating in Queensland since 2000, Heeson Medical supplies medical gases and oxygen equipment to homecare and healthcare customers and has a long-standing Queensland Government MASS contract. Coregas, which is also part of the Nippon Sanso Group, has an existing relationship with Heeson Medical, supplying medical gas including cylinder filling and rental.

Supagas Managing Director Erol Arican said the acquisition strengthens Supagas' presence in the medical and healthcare market in Queensland and reflects the company's commitment to supporting customers across the state.

The acquisition also brings together complementary capabilities across Supagas and Coregas, which operate as sister companies within the Nippon Sanso Group.

Supagas has established capabilities supporting medical gas customers across Australia, alongside its broader portfolio of industrial, hospitality, specialty and helium gases. Coregas is an established manufacturer and distributor of medical, industrial and specialty gases, with significant capabilities supporting healthcare and other industries across Australia and New Zealand. Together, the businesses bring complementary expertise, supply capabilities and national networks to the Australian gas market.

Nippon Sanso and its Australian businesses continue to invest in strengthening gas supply, filling and distribution capabilities across the country. In Queensland, Coregas' recently commissioned air separation unit (ASU) at Darra further enhances the group's gas supply capability in the state.
